Gibson Technologies is a company based in Centurion, South Africa that provides turnkey engineered electrical solutions and technology across the mining and agricultural industries in Southern Africa and beyond.

THE CHALLENGE

Gibson Technologies had the basics in place but lacked secondary elements to add interest and personality to the brand. They needed a second brand developed for their online store and have struggled for some time to find someone who understands both their brand and business and who could successfully convert it into words and visuals that make sense to their target audience. Ideally, they needed the benefits of an agency to handle their marketing needs as opposed to an individual or multiple suppliers each handling individual bits.

THE SOLUTION

Eksklusief started the process by conducting a brand alignment workshop for Gibson, resulting in the creation of a unified stylescape. Next, slight practical modifications were made to their logo, along with updates to their colour palette and the selection of standard typefaces. A brand identity was crafted for their online store, which featured the introduction of a mascot, Teddy, a bear that was already associated with the Gibson brand. In order to enhance their marketing efforts, we designed both print and digital collateral, developed a new website, and optimised their online store for SEO and Google Ads. We continue to maintain their online presence.

THE RETAINER

After working with us for some time, Gibson Technologies decided to contract us to run their monthly retainer instead of having someone in-house handle many of their regular marketing needs. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Content creation and management of their
    • website
    • email marketing
    • social media profiles
    • digital and print collateral (including content writing, graphic design, video and photography.)
  • Articles for industry-related publications.

THE RESULT

Previously, Fred (the CEO) hesitated to recommend their website or social media platforms to anyone and lacked a presentable company profile to share with others. However, they trust our consistent production of high-quality materials, including professional product photographs. As a result, their confidence in showcasing their brand has significantly increased.
